The Aachen Institute for Rescue Medicine and Civil Security (ARS) is a central institution of the city of Aachen and is involved in research, teaching and practice in the field of preclinical emergency medicine, disaster control and civil hazard prevention. The ARS sees itself as a bridge between science, education and practical application. Within the framework of KATPRO, the institute contributes its extensive experience in the development of new care concepts, realistic training scenarios and the integration of digital technologies into emergency medical services. In addition, the ARS supports the evaluation and testing of new systems in real-life operational environments.
